unaruna is a one-woman brand: Rune Scheers is the artist behind unaruna, a jewelry brand that combines curiosity and beauty, inspired by nature. Based in Brussels, Belgium for over a decade, Rune is a creative jewelry designer who handles every step of the process herself — from melting down silver to the final polish — infusing each piece with care and intention.

Rune first stumbled upon goldsmithing through Antonio, a Mexican goldsmith. She visited his atelier every day for a month, where she fell in love with the artisan (the craftmanship, not the man!). It was there that she made her very first ring, carving runa — her Spanish name — on the inside. That moment planted the seed for what would later become unaruna, a brand that officially came to life three years later.

She began by creating custom pieces and soon expanded into jewelry repairs. Sustainability quickly became a cornerstone of her practice: giving old pieces of jewelry a new life felt just as meaningful as creating something entirely new. Eventually, Rune launched her first collection. What started at her home workshop has now grown into her own atelier in the heart of Brussels.

unaruna is part of the MAD Brussels network, which supports emerging fashion and design brands. The brand is also certified by the Belgian government, a recognition that each piece is made entirely by hand with a certain skill and expertise.
